How fast do we go?
This is the first question most people ask! It depends on the car, racetrack, track conditions, and lap traffic. At Road Atlanta with dry conditions and no traffic, the Azul Corvette can go 130+ mph and the Azul Miata can reach 100+ mph. However, after the thrilling experience of being on the racetrack many are blown away by the high g-forces in the turns and deceleration.
What types of cars do you use?
We utilize a 2015 Corvette Z51 and 1990 Race Prepared Spec Miata (full roll cage and fire suppression).
How safe is it?
The ride-along experience is safer than one might expect. Passing is controlled by point byes. The other cars on track have experienced drivers or instructors in-car with inexperienced drivers. Our Miata has a roll cage, 5-point harnesses, and fire suppression in case there is an emergency. The Corvette has standard factory safety features and airbags.
What do I need to bring?
Pants and long sleeve shirt made of 100% cotton. Wear closed toe shoes. Feel free to bring a change of clothes for before or after. In addition, this is an outdoor experience and we run rain or shine. Please prepare appropriately.
Can I bring my friends and family?
Yes, the more the merrier! Please remember to bring some water, snacks, and possibly chairs.
How long is each lap?
Expect to be at the race track a minimum of two hours. Actual on-track time depends on number of laps purchased, the car, track, weather, and lap traffic encountered. Typically one (1) lap lasts between a minute and a half and two and a half minutes (double to triple of the time of a skydive free fall). We count a lap as crossing the start/finish line even in the pits when entering and exiting the track.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine. No refunds due to weather.
